Academy of Fine Arts alumni selected for renowned residency programmes

Artor Jesus Inkerö has been selected for Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten Residency and Jonna Kina for the ISCP Residency in New York. The residency programmes are funded by the Saastamoinen Foundation.

The Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten Residency in Amsterdam is one of the most sought-after residencies in the art world. Every year, 1700 artists apply for residency. Artor Jesus Inkerö was one of the selected artists this year and will take part in the residency programme in 2019.

The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York is a recognized residency programme that supports the creative development of artists and curators. ISCP has chosen Academy of Fine Art alumna Jonna Kina for the residency program.

Earlier this year two other residencies for Academy of Fine Arts alumni were announced: Josefina Nelimarkka was selected for the SPACE residence in London and Kristina Sedlerova for the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht.

The Academy of Fine Arts of Uniarts Helsinki has a residency programme for its alumi funded by the Saastamoinen Foundation. The programme supports the post-graduate studies of visual artists by awarding grants for several high-quality residency centres that have a partnership with the Academy.
