Admission results: Doctoral Programme in Fine Arts 2021

Six applicants have been admitted as doctoral students to the Academy of Fine Arts.

The admission procedure to the Doctoral Programme in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki 2021 has concluded.

The Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts has decided in accordance with the Doctoral education and research division of the Academic Council of the Academy of Fine Arts’ proposal to admit the following six (6) applicants (in alphabetical order) as doctoral students of the Academy of Fine Arts to complete a Doctor in Fine Arts degree, starting fall 2021:

  • Brümmel, Frank
  • Hänninen, Heidi
  • Laitinen, Tuomas
  • Nieminen, Heini
  • Nyyssölä, Antti 
  • Vahvaselkä, Hanna

The following five (5) applicants are accepted to reserve places in the given order:

  1. applicant who does not want their name published
  2. Istomina, Tatiana
  3. applicant who does not want their name published
  4. Saumya, Vidha
  5. Levlin, Marjo

Rectification request

Applicants can apply for rectification of the admission decision from Uniarts Helsinki under the Universities Act (558/2009), section 82. The purpose of a written request for rectification is to give the applicant the possibility to appeal and request for rectification if there is a reason to believe that there has been an error in the decision-making process. The rectification procedure is not intended as a means for receiving feedback or asking for further information about the admissions process.
