Young artists of the winter: Pauanne
In their CD launch, Pauanne take their listeners on a journey where periods of music history blend into one another. Archive recordings from the beginning of the 20th century transport us into a soundscape that is austere and mundane yet comforting at the same time. Violin, Hammond organ and a variety of acoustic and electronic percussion contribute to the timeless atmosphere. The group performs folk music with a modern accent, updating ancient tradition for our millennium.
The début disc of Pauanne is being released by the Nordic Notes label in Germany in early 2019.
