Young artists of the winter: Meeri Pulakka, soprano
Meeri Pulakka presents a varied menu of contemporary European vocal music spanning four decades. In addition to works rarely performed in Finland, the programme includes the world premiere of a work by Jarkko Hartikainen that was created in close collaboration with the singer.
Featuring vocal monologues and dialogues with sax, violin and cello, the work explores themes of loneliness, encounters, death and presence.
