New kinds of flute music from the 1960s and 1970s – Iryna Gorkun-Silén, flute
In her post-graduate recital, flautist Iryna Gorkun-Silén performs flute music from the second half of the 20th century that opened up new vistas and potential in how the instrument is used. The programme includes André Jolivet’s modernist Concerto for Flute and Percussion (1965) and Claude Bolling’s Suite for Flute and Jazz Trio (1973).
