Viivi Maria Saarenkylä creates thrilling sonic journeys inspired by travels to diverse lands with her blue accordion.

This concert features a diverse range of original compositions and arrangements, inspired by the thrill of travelling. From lost keys and missed flights, to a happy encounter with a lonely reindeer in the heart of the Swedish wilderness, Viivi Maria Saarenkylä Combo turns some of her most memorable moments on the road together with her blue accordion into thrilling sonic journeys. The concert is part of Saarenkylä's Global Music Bachelor studies.

Global Spring is a concert series running from 13 - 15 May 2019 featuring 2nd and 3rd year bachelor students from Sibelius Academy’s Global Music Programme.  The programme embraces cultural diversity and aims to cultivate intercultural dialogue, understanding and collaboration through music and the arts. Expect a feast of dynamic and musically diverse concerts featuring performers from around the world.
