Composition as Experience: towards a space of non-relational choreography by means of contemplative aesthetic seeing.
The research workshop entitled “Composition as Experience: towards a space of non-relational choreography by means of contemplative aesthetic seeing” is the third artistic part of Jana Unmüßig´s doctoral research project. Jana invites the workshop participant into a two hour long exploration of how contemplative seeing can be an artistic practice and how this practice leads to a type of choreography that embraces the proximity of distance: non-relational choreography, the flip side of relational choreography / art.
The workshop is open to anyone who is interested in the above briefly outlined topic. There is absolutely no previous movement training needed to attend the workshop. Participants should, though, be open to engaging with somatic bodywork.
The workshop happens June 12th at Exhibition Laboratory of KUVA from 10:00 – 12:00. It is free of charge. Simply write me an email if you want to join. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions via .
Jana´s research is supported by Kone Foundation Finland.
