There will be two papers on Carmen opera in Töölö, Sibelius Academy. The afternoon is free of charge and open to everyone.

There will be two papers on Carmen opera on 29 April from 2.30 pm to 5pm (Sibelius Academy, Töölönkatu 28, Helsinki, Auditorium T-522, 5th floor):

Clair Rowden (PhD, Reader, Cardiff University,UK): Carmen Abroad, or home and away

UIla-Britta Broman-Kananen (Docent, Sibelius Academy): Carmen in Ultima Thule: Four Interpretations of a Spanish Gipsy in Late 19th Century Norden

At the end of the afternoon there is time for discussion. The organizers are Research Center Uniarts History Forum and DocMus Doctoral School of Sibelius Academy.
