Woodwinds: Real Authenticity

Unfortunately the Real Authenticity concert's first half has been moved to another hall. The first half of the concert will be played at Organo and the second half will be played at Camerata. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Ensemble Schrat and pianist Tuija Hakkila perform music by Reicha and Mozart on authentic instruments. A different kind of authenticity is to be found at the emotional level in the ultra-Romantic Sextet by Dohnányi, performed on modern instruments by an ensemble formed of teachers and students at the Sibelius Academy.
Free admission. Tickets are handed out in the foyer starting from one hour prior to the beginning of the concert.

Woodwinds 1–8 June is an international summer course for woodwind students, forming part of the Sibelius Summer Academy. The concerts heard during the Woodwinds course are arranged with the kind support of Pro Musica Foundation.
The Sibelius Summer Academy is an international summer school of Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy offering classes taught by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists and instructors. Classes are open both to the Academy’s students and to outside applicants. The Sibelius Summer Academy will offer its first three classes in June and August 2019.
