Woodwinds: Happy Hour
Calogero Palermo, teaching at the Sibelius Academy as a member of the Distinguished Visitor Programme, performs Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet with the Briosa String Quartet.
The programme includes two works by B.H. Crusell: the rarely heard Rondo for two clarinets and string quartet and the Divertimento for oboe and strings, the latter featuring oboist Veera Pesu. The Briosa String Quartet is from the Junior Department of the Sibelius Academy.
Free admission. Tickets are handed out in the foyer starting from one hour prior to the beginning of the concert.

Woodwinds 1–8 June is an international summer course for woodwind students, forming part of the Sibelius Summer Academy.
The Sibelius Summer Academy is an international summer school of Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy offering classes taught by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists and instructors. Classes are open both to the Academy’s students and to outside applicants. The Sibelius Summer Academy will offer its first three classes in June and August 2019.
