Preludes of My Life – Tapani Länsiö’s 24 preludes for the piano

This concert will be the premiere of Tapani Länsiö’s 24 preludes for the piano.

Tapani Länsiö’s original form of expression and thoroughly musical writing style combine a practical understanding of playing the piano and an extensive knowledge of music history. The preludes have a colorful and multifaceted soundscape, in which can be heard echoes of different styles of keyboard instruments from different centuries as well as homages to both past and present composers, from Purcell to Kokkonen and from Satie to Heininen.
