Suruvesi, created by the Project Vainiolla Ensemble, is a spatially oriented concert that carries the listener from free improvisation to precision-crafted compositions.
Along the way there are human voices, a prepared piano, scratched strings and the patter of rain. Old reel-to-reel tape recorders play tape loops combining to form soundscapes that gradually wear out and fade away.
The concert is based on the Suruvesi [Sorrow water] concept album released in 2018.
