Mysteries of the night – Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra, Choir and soloists, cond. Nils Schweckendiek
As the days become shorter, the choir, orchestra and soloists of the Sibelius Academy explore music inspired by the night. Beauty and terror, celebration and resignation, crowds and individuals meet in this multi-faceted programme. The concert culminates in a performance of the enchanting Serenade to Music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, which calls for no fewer than 16 vocal soloists.
The performance is a joint production with the Kuopio unit of the Sibelius Academy of Uniarts Helsinki.
