Master’s degree concert: Akseli Ferrand, vocals

Tarinoita ranskaksi (‘Stories in French’) is Akseli Ferrand’s Master’s degree concert. Join us to enjoy the compositions of Francis Poulenc among others.

Akseli Ferrand is a Finnish-French tenor who studies at the Department of Vocal Music of the Uniarts University’s Sibelius Academy under Professor Petteri Salomaa. In July 2021, Akseli sang at the Timo Mustakallio Song Contest organised by Savonlinna Opera Festival, and made it to the final. In 2022, Akseli had his debut at the Ilmajoki Music Festival at the Jukka Linkola opera “Hiljaiset perivät maan” (‘The meek will inherit the earth’) in the role of Penjaami Turaka.

Akseli also performs easy listening. His repertoire includes French chanson, jazz and Schlager music.
