Paola Livorsi’s lecture on her chamber opera, Medusa.
Composer and sound artist Paola Livorsi presents her chamber opera Medusa, premiered at the Helsinki Contemporary Opera Festival. The work depicts the artist’s narcissism as a creative and destructive force, as well as a search for identity. Medusa drew inspiration from the paintings of Caravaggio and the madrigals of Gesualdo.
