KuvA Research Club Evening

Welcome to the January 2022 edition of the KuvA Research Club Evening on Monday 17.1.2022 at 16:30-18:00. The Academy of Fine Arts (KuvA) research event is held online.

We invite all staff members, all doctoral students and alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts as well as all interested in artistic research to join and see, listen to, and share what colleagues are working on right now.

Presenters at this Research Club Evening are:
Pia Euro visual artist, University lecturer at Visual Cultures, Curating and Contemporary Art (VICCA) at the Aalto University and Tanja Kiiveri visual artist, lecturer at Time and Space, Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Helsinki. Euro and Kiiveri present the video: Dense Things and All Light.

Susanna Lindberg, currently Visiting Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Uniarts Helsinki.
Lindberg is a professor of continental philosophy at the University of Leiden, Netherlands. She is a specialist of German idealism, phenomenology, and contemporary French philosophy. In recent years, her research has carried on the question of technology.

The coordinator of the event is Denise Ziegler, University researcher at the Academy of Fine Arts.

In a KuvA Research Club Evening one can present a work in progress or works or writings that are just finished or bring fragments of thoughts or works or treasures from the archives. The format can be e.g. moving image, speech, images, a demo.
