Join us on a journey through time from the Middle Ages to the present, featuring Gregorian chant in three offices on the day of Annunciation. In the Medieval monastic tradition, the offices of Vespers, Compline and Lauds span two days – evening, night and morning. This was part of Finland’s history in the Middle Ages, with links to the present day. Offices are performed in a concert-like set in one afternoon and they form Taru Hämäläinen’s postgraduate recital.
