Brass @ Si­be­lius Sum­mer Aca­de­my: Student concert

The concert is part of the Brass @ Sibelius Summer Academy course.

Welcome to listen to the concert of the students of the Brass @ Sibelius Summer Academy’s master class. The concert features solo pieces and excerpts from orchestral works played by Sibelius Academy students and youth education.

The concert is the closing concert of the masterclass week of the Brass @ Sibelius Summer Academy. The teachers of the master class have been Miroslav Petkov (principal trumpet, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Katy Woolley (principal French horn, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), David Rejano Cantero (principal trombone, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra), Tormod Flaten (principal euphonium, Royal Norwegian Naval Forces’ Band) ) and Perry Hoogendijk (principal tuba, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra).

Sibelius Summer Academy

Sibelius Summer Academy is a summer study program offered by the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki. It offers young talents a chance to work and perform together with world-class teachers, artists and other students in an encouraging and inspiring international environment with state-of-the-art facilities. The first courses were offered in 2019. Sibelius Summer Academy is supported by the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation and the Wihuri Foundation
