A January Kind of Girl
The concert “A January Kind of Girl” presents a spectrum of female perspectives
It tells stories about resilience, sensitivity, uncertainty and warmth; all feelings that are very much present and needed in the current state of the world. The programme combines written music and carefully thought-out arrangements with improvisational elements and material learned by heart. Stylistically, the concert operates within the realm of rhythmic vocal music (‘rytmimusiikki’), or pop/jazz-music, as it is called in the Finnish music education system.
