The application period for Academy of Fine Arts Master's studies

The application period to two year Master's studies begins on 8 August 2018 and ends on 22 August 2018 at 3 pm Finnish time. In 2018 new MFA students are admitted to both the degree programme in Fine Arts and the Praxis Master's programme in Exhibition Studies.

Praxis – Master’s Programme in Exhibition Studies

The Praxis Master’s Programme (120cr) is intended for visual artists and students specialised in theory, whose interests lie in the theories, presentation methods and curating of contemporary art. The students who complete the programme will graduate with a Master of Fine Arts degree. Praxis admits new students every other year.

New students are selected to two-year Master’s studies in a separate Master’s admission every autumn. The selected students will start their studies in January. Master’s studies are directed to applicants with an applicable lower university degree or other corresponding degree. Master’s studies are organised in the following subject areas: sculpture, painting, printmaking, and time and space arts.
