Global Fest 2017: Zane Pērkone – Will you marry me?
This is the story of one Woman’s difficult life: a forced marriage, an alcoholic husband, a brother who goes to war and never returns, and the biggest problem of all, the pie that was baked too thin and peppery. The great Latvian folk singer Augusts Lācis recorded these songs in the year 1970, and now you can hear them brought to life through creative arrangements and re-interpretations by Zane Pērkone.
