Global Fest 2017: Paddy Groenland – A poem is when you hear the heartbeat of a stone
Finding the joy of simplicity in everyday life, and specifically rhythmic inspiration from Mali & Brazil, are transposed through the prism of Paddy Groenland’s experience in working with song and result in these original songs influenced by world music rhythms. This performance promises a manifestation of the positive effects of globalisation: the rich cultures that are now more accessible to us than ever that can reflect our own peculiarities and open our minds like parachutes.
